I’m Vince Urag. I code, I build, and I capture life in stills.
Since I was a kid, I’ve always been fascinated by the simplest things. Whether it was disassembling electronics just to see what was inside or staying up late trying to figure out how something worked, that sense of curiosity has always been at my core.
I wrote my first program when I was around 10 years old—and while I was drawn to the world of hardware early on, I eventually found myself gravitating toward software. These days, I focus on backend engineering, usually working with Elixir. I enjoy solving backend-heavy challenges, especially when it comes to distributed systems, performance, and scalability.
I also write about backend engineering from time to time—mostly to share what I’ve learned and to document the things I obsess over figuring out.
Outside of code, I have a deep love for street photography. There's something beautiful about capturing the fleeting, unrepeatable moments of everyday life—those little slices of time that tell a story without saying a word.
